Every document you can make here
With VAT or without it is a rate on a line, not a different tool: put 20%, 5.5% or 0 on each line and the breakdown follows. Whichever mention your status obliges you to carry goes in the notes field and prints on the document.
Sequential numbering, a tax breakdown that reconciles, and both parties' tax IDs.
Open the generatorWhat the work will cost, before you do it. Same document, different heading.
Open the generatorProof the money arrived, with the amount written out in words.
Coming soonCancels or reduces an invoice you have already sent, and says which one.
Coming soonFor landlords: the month, the rent, the charges and the tenant.
Coming soonFor professional services billed as fees rather than as goods.
Coming soonEverything the fiddly bits need — currencies, tax and the language it prints in, done the way your accountant would do them.

124 currencies, done properly
Yen has no decimals, Kuwaiti dinar has three, and the thousands separator moves depending on where you are. Amounts are formatted by the same rules your accountant's software uses.

Tax that reconciles
Several rates on one document, discounts spread across them to the last cent, and a breakdown that adds up. No rounding drift between the lines and the total.

Five languages, including Arabic
Documents print in English, French, Spanish, German or Arabic — right-to-left layout included, with the amount written out in words.
No account, no mailing list
Your documents stay tied to this browser. We never ask for an email address, so we have nothing to send you and nothing to sell.
One form, and the finished PDF already next to it.
No template to choose, no account to make, nothing to install. Type what you are charging for and the document renders as you go — in the language and the currency it will actually be read in.

More than invoices
Invoice, quote, receipt, credit note, delivery note. One editor and one number series — the kind of document is a dropdown, not a different product.
Still here when you come back
Your documents are tied to this browser by a token rather than to an account you had to create. The list is where you left it, until the 180 days run out and it is deleted for you.
Your logo, your numbering, your terms
Upload a mark, set the number format, write the notes, terms and bank details once. Nothing on the finished page mentions us.
A real PDF, not a picture of one
What you are looking at is the file you download: A4, embedded fonts, text your client can select and their accountant can search.
The half of a document nobody demonstrates.
How you want to be paid, what the terms are, which tax IDs have to appear, and what is still owed after a deposit. It is where invoices quietly go wrong, so it is all here.
Ready when you are
Open the form and the first one takes about a minute. There is nothing to sign up for.
From an empty form to a finished PDF, in about a minute.
Four steps, and the fourth one is only there if you want to come back. Nothing to choose up front, nothing to install, nothing to sign.

Really useful tools with the option to upgrade if and when a more serious need arises. User friendly and professional.

Nobody should have to open an account, start a trial and hand over a card number to send one invoice.
I built Invoice Loft because I kept needing an invoice at ten at night and finding a signup form instead. Every tool wanted an email, then a plan, then a card — for a PDF I would look at once and send.
So this does the one thing. You fill in the form, the real PDF builds itself while you type, you download it. No paid tier waiting behind it, no watermark on your document, no cap on how many you make.
The totals are worked out on our side, to the rounding rules your currency actually uses, because a document that does not add up is worse than no document at all. That part is not a shortcut we were willing to take.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no paid tier, no watermark and no cap on how many documents you make.
Why is there no account?
Because you don't need one to write an invoice. Your documents are tied to this browser by a token we store for you. Keep the link we give you and you can come back to them.
How long do you keep them?
180 days, then they're deleted. Download the PDF and it's yours forever regardless.
Is it valid for my tax authority?
It carries the fields most authorities expect — sequential numbering, tax breakdown, both parties' tax IDs. What each country requires differs, so check yours. We don't do e-invoicing formats like Factur-X or PEPPOL.
How do I make an invoice here?
Open the invoice generator, fill in who it is from and who it is for, then add a line for each thing you are charging with its quantity, unit price and tax rate. The PDF builds itself as you type; download it when it looks right. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
What is an invoice, exactly?
A dated, uniquely numbered demand for payment: who is charging, who owes, what for, how much tax, and what is due. A quote is the same document before the work, and a receipt is the same document after the money arrives — this generator makes all three.
What should the invoice number be?
Anything unique that never goes backwards. We number sequentially for you and let you set the format — a prefix, the year, the width of the counter. Skipped or reused numbers are the first thing an auditor asks about, so the counter is yours to set once and then leave alone.
